Reports To: Registered Manager or Designate

Job Purpose: To support clients to reach their full potential

 

Key Tasks/Accountabilities:   

  • Respond to and support clients to meet their full potential
  • Attend apprenticeship training programme as agreed with your provider working towards a specific qualification
  • To meet with your nominated mentor and college assessor at agreed times
  • Work in partnership with clients and all stakeholders involved positively in their lives
  • Ensure that when working with clients that all current legislative, procedural and good practice guidelines are adhered to which promote the client’s freedom, choice and independence
  • To use risk assessments to promote opportunities for the clients and increase their autonomy whenever possible
  • To ensure that all documentation is completed in a person centred manner and adhering to data protection principles and other guidance
  • To be flexible and work a varied shift pattern including weekends, sleep-ins and holiday / sickness cover in all service locations as required
  • To undertake household tasks and life skills activities where appropriate, personal care, medication, finances, report writing
  • To always contribute to the service professionally, positively and constructively
  • To undertake any such duties assigned by the Registered Manager or Designate for the clients or service
  • Commitment to continuous personal development
  • To undertake mandatory and refresher training as required
