  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous experience of working with ASC
  • Additional communication skills such as Makaton
  • NVQ 2 / equivalent or above

Reports To: Registered Manager or Designate

Job Purpose: To support the Registered Manager, Deputy Service Manager and mentor Residential Workers to deliver person centered support to the clients

Key Tasks/Accountabilities:

  • Respond to and support clients to meet their full potential including creating, maintaining and reviewing care plans
  • Work in partnership with team, clients and all stakeholders involved positively in their lives
  • Ensure that when working with clients that all current legislative, procedural and good practice guidelines are adhered to which promote the clients freedom, choice and independence and reporting where necessary to the Registered Manager or Deputy Service Manager or Designate
  • Use risk assessments to promote opportunities for the clients and increase their autonomy whenever possible and ensure that they are adhered to and reviewed
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed in a person centred manner and adhering to data protection principles and other guidance
  • To be flexible and work a varied shift pattern including sleep-ins and holiday / sickness cover in all service locations as required
  • Ensure that all quality audit systems are adhered to, completed and maintained
  • To supervise allocated staff on a regular basis
  • All medication management including ordering and auditing
  • To undertake household tasks, personal care, medication, finances, report writing and life skills activities as appropriate
  • Always contribute to the service professionally, positively and constructively and promote and develop the ambassadorial role for all staff
  • Undertake any such duties assigned by the Registered Manager or Deputy for the clients or service
